Message: I have been charged by Countrywide for insurance for my home 3 times the amount that I currently pay. I do not need this insurance because I have always been insured yet Countrywide claims that I do not have insurance. I have faxed them a copy and mailed them a copy of my insurance and so has my insurance company. They ignore this or pretend that they have never recieved it and continue to bill me for insurance. There is a number to call on the notice that they sent me but it does not give a way to talk with a represetative it just hangs up on you after the recording. POOR POOR SERVICE OR RIP OFF

Message: I'm going to post this in every state listed here. YOU MUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS AND DECISIONS!! I have recently left the lending industry. I can site many reasons for this, however the top reason has to be dealing with borrowers and potential borrowers who had no concept of financial responsibility. Just because you have a 700 credit score does not mean you demonstrate good use of credit or that you are guaranteed the rate or terms you want. In fact, many people who have the best credit scores carry the most debt. What you people do not understand is that the lending institutions want you to carry debt, so if you carry alot of debt and pay it on time your score will be higher than someone who pays their bills OFF every month and only carries a mortgage and a car loan/lease. If you fall on hard times, pay your damn mortgage and let the friggin' Visa's go delinquent. Visa isn't going to take your house, your mortgage company is. People jump to quickly to file BK. Guess what, ole' GW has made that next to impossible for the average American. You're better off making arrangements with your credit card companies and paying your mortgage off as quickly as possible. Use good judgement, not the "I want it now!" mentality. Buy a Trailblazer instead of the RangeRover or the Hummer or the Lincol or Caddy or whatever. How many of you people that post on here have kids? What kind of behavior do you think your actions teaches them? Anyone who would voice their opinion is more than welcome to email me at michael_harman1976@yahoo.com. I would be more than happy to help anyone who needs some good advice on how to get themselves into a good financial position. I am not selling anything, I'm a former CW employee who feels an obligation to help those who have been taken advantage of.

Message: COUNTRYWIDE SUCKS!! I don't know how they stay in business. NO return phone calls, NO customer service, NO body knows anything and they transfer you all over. I have serious questions and I get a automated service that can't help with my problems or an idiot that don't know loans. Or I guess the famous transfer until you get hung up on.

Message: I am completely aware of what countrywide can be like. That is why I chose to be a loan officer about eleven years ago. My wife and I had perfect credit and we were trying to buy a home and our loan officer would never return our calls. I now know the answers but I can not mention on this site. email me at 1234.ron@gmail.com

Message: tracey in south jordan - do you have a lock-in agreement ? the yeilds on mortgage backed securioties and the 10 year tres. bond have skyrocketed due to inflationary pressures in the economy. in other words rates have jumped up big time, and i bet your loan officer was "playing" the market. he is probally so under water right now that he figures if he can irritate so much you will take your file (i.e. his problem) somewhere else and he is off the hook. Look at your lock in agreement, which by federal RESPA law you have received within 3 days after application. If it shows that you are locked, i would first go to the sales manager of the office and explain the situation. If you begin to hear a bunch of himming/hawing, ask for the number for a department at CHL called The Office Of President (OOP). As a former employee, I guarantee you will see action right on the spot or once you speak to the OOP. The OOP does not play games and it puts the fear of god into the branch managers. Good Luck

Message: Countrywide made a servicing error on my house loan and instead of fixing it like they said they would they tried foreclosing on it two days before Christmas. It cost me $15,580.38 to save my house. Countrywide knew it was a servicing error they admitted making the mistake and never fixed it. I had to get a lawyer to right them a letter to make them apply my payments properly and instead of fixing it they attacked me with lawyers. This company ruined my credit cost me thousands of dollars and I cant bring suit against them because it would cost thousands more to fight them. They really hurt me and will not do anything to repair this situation. They win.

Message: scott - visit the web site www.msfraud.com

then go to "forum" and look for a guy named nye. i have been in the business for 15 + years, and i have known nye lavelle personally for 5 years. he is an advocate for this kind of stuff, and he know what he is doing/talking about. shoot him an e-mail and he will respond. I worked at CHL for 4 years, and left 7 months ago because they are becoming very mean and arrogant. not good for business. good luck.

Message: I started the paperwork with Countrywide to refinance my home consolidate with 15,000 cash out. I just had my home appraised for 250,000. Countrywide's appraisal came in at 239,000 then my loan officer tried to talk me into refinancing and taking out a second home loan. I laughed at the guy and told him I was a financial officer for the company I work for and what he was suggesting was a total scam. I am still trying to get my copy of the appraisal I paid for I have a very bad feeling my appraisal came in for 250,000 but they lowered it to 239,00 taking my cash out money. If this is true what they did would be considered FRAUD. I will keep this site updated on the outcome.

Message: I've had a CountryWide home loan for 2 1/2 years now. I go to get a loan on a new truck and find that CW has posted five 30day late payments on my credit. We never pay late on the house. In fact the supposed 30day late checks I had written cleared the bank way before the end of the month. ***My Advice*** Way too many Mortgage Companies out there STEER CLEAR OF COUNTRYWIDE.

Message: And don't even think about talking to a real person who knows what they're doing, or that there are such things as time zone differences, or who a**ign common usage to everyday words! With their runaround, I lost thousands trying to pay off my mortgage. I should have gone through my local credit union - other than that, I don't know how you can avoid having your mortgage sold to Countrywide.

Message: I have always been ahead on my payments just as I was this month when I sent my payment in two weeks early. I payed my mortgage payment of 890 dollars via electronic funds transfer on my online account. The stupid bastards withdrew 1,780 dollars from my checking account causing it to overdraw just before labor day weekend. I guess I better cancel all of my labor day weekend plans.
